Modeling has been always been a passion for Official Lady J from a very young age. She would daydream about walking down the runway modeling some of the most exquisite and fashionable clothing. At one point as a child she created her own runway; where she modeled her new school clothes for her family. She was never shy in front of the camera, so it was also fun for her. She always took every opportunity to show her runway poses to a cheering audience. A majority of her childhood photos are of her modeling at various locations her family traveled to.Official Lady J’s first real modeling experience was at the age of thirteen (13). She participated in a fashion show for a local clothing store in Connecticut. Although it was her first time modeling, she enjoyed the experience she received and sought out other opportunities as such.
The following summer, she competed in the “Miss Teen New Haven CT” pageant. She was chosen to be a finalist list and represent the city of New Haven. Unfortunately the competition would’ve interfered with her schoolwork; so she has to decline that prestigious offer. With her recent success a representative from the John Casablanca Modeling Agency was interested in her look from the pageant and as a result reached out to interview her. Based upon the interview the agency was interested in signing her on the spot. But in the end, school came first and her parents decided that modeling could come in the future.
During her last semester in college Official Lady J had the opportunity to take part in a fashion show, “Flic It Up Studio’s Spring Fashion Show” located in Foxwoods, CT. During the fashion show she had the opportunity to model for designers such as Ed Hardy, 50 Cent, Lucy’s Designs, and ILL Wear, and many more. The experience of the fashion show brought her to the decision that modeling was still a passion of her; and she still needs to pursue it. Once she graduated from the University of Connecticut, she began to have photo shoot sessions with various photographers to help build her portfolio, experience and comfort with all aspects of the modeling world.
As she began to shoot with the various photographers, her face and name was beginning to get the notoriety she worked hard for With the future looking up for her, she plans to pursue more music videos, commercials so that she can build up the experiences to become a successful Actress. Throughout school she took part in several plays, theater, debate, and drama. As the various opportunities approaches Official Lady J will continue to explore them until she has read the level of success she is comfortable with.
